A Note...

... to our loyal readers.

Guy is in Sweden, currently, and Girl is in Canada. No, we did not split up, as one of you has commented, but we do come from different sides of the world and this tends to happen when you are stupid enough to get involved in a long distance relationship.

So! To those of you who are expecting this website to be kept up to date on a regular basis (even after the fact that this has never happened so far), you will be disappointed.

But! We will try to watch the same movies, and we will try to write reviews about them at some point, then try to post those reviews on a semi-timely basis... maybe.

Some of you may call this a stilted promise, but we just call it reality. Unlike Lindsay Lohan, we have our feet planted firmly in it.

THE LOSERS

Girl's sigh of relief...

I was writing a review the other day about action movies and how the new age of them, the good ones at least, revolve around fantastical characters like Iron Man, Spiderman, Aragon, etc... Well, not anymore. Meet Clay, commonly known as Denny from Grey's Anatomy or the Comedian from the Watchmen. He is fucking awesome. What makes him awesome? He is fairly ordinary, except he likes blowing things up and leading his group of four men into crazy, covert missions for the US government. I like!

So, something goes terribly wrong within the opening mission, and this group of five guys go rogue. They meet up with that girl who is in everything right now, the girl from Star Trek and Avatar, who is a badass in this movie, too. Clay and her fight light two Goliaths in this hotel room, even as it burns around them. Love it. The sex scene between them is pretty hot, too. She walks in with an open bottle of whiskey, asks him if he wants a drink, then they start to do it. Ah! Action films, how I missed thee.

Girl's Rating: By whatever means necessary, when you are in a good, fun mood, watch this movie.

Guy's Hell yeah!!

I've missed these movies a lot as well. I mean you don't need super powers or fucking robots to make cool action. This is old school which I love. Just a bunch of guys with heavy artillery that needs to get the bad guy. They did something dangerous but right when they casted this movie. They went with fairly unknown people. This helps because then you have no preconceived for what they are capable of. I mean, if you watch a movie with Arnold you know he's gonna kick ass. Here we find out that these people are capable more and more as the movie moves along.

Chris Evans. I've had some issues with this dude but he totally won me over here and I'm looking forward to seeing him as Captain America. It seems that he loves comic book movies. "Fantastic Four", "Push", "The Losers" and soon as mentioned above "Captain America". As I said he was definitely one of the highlights of this movie.

This summer is gonna be great for this genre and I beg the lord Odin that they will be revived. We have "The A-Team", "The Expendables" and "Predators" coming up. It's gonna be great! More guns, bazookas and explosions for the people!!

Guy's Rating: It will speak to the fun loving action geek in you.
